HT Education for All Project - Phase II (en)

The objective of the Second Phase of the Education for All Project for Haiti is to support the strategy for rebuilding the education system through the implementation of sustainable programs to improve: (a) access, particularly of under-served populations, to primary education; (b) quality of primary education; and (c) the institutional capacity in the recipient's education sector. The project implementation is on track. The main activities, namely the tuition waiver, the school health and nutrition and the teacher training programs, are in preparation for the 2012-2013 school years. The pilot program on the community based schools is entering the final phase of school construction, for expansion during the 2012-2013 school years. The reallocation is necessary to incorporate a separate disbursement category for the Project Preparation Facility (PPF) expenditures, which was inadvertently omitted during project preparation.
