Food Emergency Social Program Support Project - Iodized Salt Component (en)

The Food Emergency Social Program Support Project aims to respond to the current food crisis by improving the food security of the most vulnerable in the hardest-hit rural areas. The Project helps the Emergency Social Program to address food insecurity in Senegal, and is implemented in cooperation with the United Nations World Food Programme. This project component supports the production of iodized salt in Senegal by giving salt producers and distributors access to the material and equipment needed for iodization. The project aims to ensure that the production of iodized salt meets 90 percent of Senegal's needs.
